Climate and ecological reality: A blind spot in our practice?

The climate and ecological emergency is widely acknowledged to be the defining issue of our time. Psychologists speak a pervasive silence across many areas society in relation unsettling realities breakdown. In this article, I propose that reluctance engage with stark implications crisis risks diminishing capacity practise inclusivity core guidance principles for certain clients. To get sense extent which career profession addressing emergency, undertook survey published literature. findings suggested limited explicit discourse around these issues. conclude research informed practice would benefit from increased attention crisis. We can begin address challenge through engaging frank professional uncomfortable truths their education, information, advice guidance.
